In the narrative photography project inspired by Wes Anderson’s cinematic style, with special reference to the colour palette of the film «Moonrise Kingdom» (2012), the aim was to create a unique and evocative visual experience.

The location chosen for the shoot was Port Saplaya, in Alboraya, Valencia, to take advantage of its architectural and landscape features that aligned with the aesthetics pursued. The choice of this location added a Mediterranean touch to the shoot, complementing the colour palette and providing a charming set for the photography.

The project required the participation of two models with a significant difference in height, both characterised with extravagant and vintage outfits that matched the specific colour palette of «Moonrise Kingdom».

Particular attention was paid to symmetry and order, reflecting the director’s tendency towards balanced and stylised visual compositions. Key cinematic elements, such as frontality and detail shots, were incorporated to accentuate the theatricality of the visual narrative and capture specific elements that emphasised the richness of the colour palette and the visual complexity of the environment.
