This project consists of the application of the acquired knowledge of design software. It is a combination of an editorial piece, printed advertising material and the customisation of the Air Force 1 sneakers together with the naming of the product.
Adobe Photoshop software was used to design the prototype. Here, the design was placed on top of the original Air Force 1 using layer masks. The application of various adjustment layers is intended to achieve a realistic and integrated result.
The final design consists of a pattern with the Stella McCartney logo on the sides along with details in earthy colours. The original colour of the shoe has been retained, as the combination of this with the design conveys the elegance and style of the designer. The material of manufacture would be synthetic leather, as Stella is known for making use of this, and therefore include the detail on the sole of «100% vegan».
The editorial piece designed for the project is an informative 12-page catalogue where the technical information and history of the product is detailed. The design shows the use of general elements of the campaign, such as texture, typography and colour palette.
The posters designed for the advertising campaign are shown below. The claim proposed was «Just do it like Stella», which is the combination of the mythical Nike slogan with the name of the designer.
